When Nearon acquired land for the future Mesa Ridge project, the property was distressed, but none-the-less totaled 1,200 acres in the path of growth outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
  • Acquired the 1,200-acre site in the early 1980s.
  • Between 2000 and 2006, sold residential land in a series of sales to US Home, Pulte and Lennar.
  • Managed entitlements, master-planning and commercial development to complete 560,000 S.F. community retail center.
  • Remains master developer of The Markets at Mesa Ridge, 88 acres of commercial and retail that attracted tenants including Safeway, Lowe’s, Walgreen’s, Advanced Auto Parts, McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Sonic, Family Dollar (under construction) and multiple financial institutions.
